Jacinta is an astronomer and science communicator. She is originally from Perth, Australia where she studied Physics at the University of Western Australia (UWA). She then went on to complete a PhD in radio astronomy at UWA and the University of Oxford. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zagreb in Croatia and is now a research fellow at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Her research tries to answer the question of why galaxies have evolved over the history of the universe. She thinks that science communication is absolutely essential to the wellbeing of the world and enjoys helping out with this as much as possible.
